Where Did The Panda Pops Go?

February 18, 2011

Rare Footage of the Extinct Panda Pops

A Panda Pops – The Worlds Best Worst Drink.

Back in January, the owner of the Panda Pops range decided to pull their fizzy, artificially coloured pop from the shelves of the primitive corner shops that still sold them. However, it wasn’t until yesterday when Panda Pops became a trending topic on Twitter that anyone noticed. One single tweet got the world reminiscing.

This has really made me want the refreshing 20p treat, so much so that I tried to buy one online. I would have chosen the Blue Raspberry or Jelly and Ice Cream Flavour one. But unfortunately, I could only find this website and their lack of spelling acumen, prices and request for callers to ‘speak slowly’ made me think they might just be after my card details. If they are legitimate though, I’d like to order a case of Jelly and Ice Cream please.

There also seems to be a severe lack of photos of the product on the web, so anyone who does manage to track down a Panda Pops, I’d recommend you get a photo, before we’re left with nothing, but a extinct and distant memory…

Breakfast and other meals today:

08.25 Turkey Cheese Topped Roll (unconventional, but I did leave Laura in charge of breakfast).
13.10 Bacon and Chicken Sandwich, Cheese and Onion McCoy’s and Flapjack
15.30 Biscuits x4
16.45 Clementine
18.30 Jaffa Cakes x2
19.50 Spaghetti Bolognese with Garlic Bread
Later Lovetub Pudding

And Finally…

Here are my favourite Panda Pop tweets, including one from the boy that didn’t have a childhood:

Bonus Features:

If that’s not enough for one day, check out the Panda Pop website. It’s pretty weird, but what else would you put on a website like that?
