Dear Asia Chic Plymouth…

February 22, 2011
In all my days of writing this blog, I have never had such food. Absolutely fantastic tastes and textures, mouth-watering flavours all wrapped up in a beautifully elegant location. Everything in this place has been carefully planned out to make your dining experience an exceptional one. Avid readers of this blog will be surprised at such a positive review, but this is just food as it should be.
Here’s their website.
Today’s treats:
08.45 Bacon and Egg McMuffin, Hash Brown and Banana (Was in London this morning for an interview and this was meant to be pre-interview focus food – not sure it worked!)
13.15 Bacon Baguette, Twix.
18.05 Greek Pitta With Haloumi
19.45 A selection of the following from Asia Chic:
  • FRIED MHEUK – pan fried squid with ginger and Thai spices
  • BEEF YAKITORI – beef sirloin skewers with baby aubergines
  • CHICKEN SATAY – with spicy peanut sauce
  • THAI FISH CAKE
  • LAMB BALLS – with shallots and cumin
  • CRISP ASPARAGUS ROLLS – with cheese and xo sauce
  • CORIANDER GINGER GOONG – coriander and ginger crunchy shrimps
  • STEAMED SCALLOPS – with black bean dressing
  • STIR FRIED EGG NOODLES – with chilli and garlic.

21.50 Creme Egg and some chocolate egg.

And Finally…
I tried to do a bit of Tweeting on the train today about some of the unusual sights I was experiencing, but unfortunately the signal was awful, and well… no service.

Sounds like you are really impressed with the food and service there. I’ve never been to Plymouth, but I’ll keep this restaurant in mind when I visit.

Not sure about delivery to London Ruth – it might go a bit cold as it’s all freshly cooked.
Michael, I’d make a trip to Plymouth just to come to this restaurant!
