Review: Hotel Mount Batten Pub

April 11, 2011

I ate at the Hotel Mount Batten for lunch today on a work ‘away day’ and thought I’d give the place a quick review:

Beautiful venue with fantastic views over the Plymouth waterfront. The food didn’t quite live up to anything near the quality of the views and was merely simple pub grub. I had the toad in the hole which, in fairness, was served piping hot, but the hole was soggy and the sausages were average. The overall experience is still a good one, with friendly staff, reasonable prices and great company!

07.55 Bran Flakes
09.45 Tiny Pasties x3 Biscuits x5
13.40 Large Toad in the Hole with Mash Potato.
19.30 SIFE Nibbles – Strawberry, Blueberry and a doughnut.
21.20 Poached Egg on toast
