How Much Fruit is Too Much Fruit?

April 16, 2011

We’ve all heard of the governments ‘5-a-day’ fruit and vegetable marketing campaign to encourage us to eat more of the good stuff, but are St Albans taking this a bit too far? Walking around the Saturday market this afternoon we counted eight fruit and veg stalls. Eight! All selling the same stuff, probably all from the same suppliers.

So either, people in St Albans really love their fruit and veg and there is such overwhelming need for it that there is the enough demand for the supply. Or, and this looked more likely, the people of St Albans are only willing to walk up to (and including) 25 metres for their apples.

Eaten today will be posted later…

09.45 Poached egg on toast and peanut butter, jam on toast.
12.50 Half Mozzarella and Tomato Panini and half a muffin from Costa shared with the Laura.
18.00 Mikido hazelnut and olives
19.10 Beef Satay Stir Fry with Salad and Moroccan cake
20.00 Twister, bit of brownie, bit of rocky road, 1 rose chocolate & a couple of cheese twists.
