BCN Day 1: Sometimes I feel like I'm in Barcelona

June 8, 2011

Today we landed in Barcelona and we just arrived at our accommodation after some interesting public transport failures and delays which resulted in having to leave the metro for a bus, only to be told to leave the bus for the metro. The flight over however was somewhat less problematic and above all those clouds in the sky it’s actually quite sunny. Here is the view from the sky.

Picture of the day: IOW from the Sky

I got better pictures with my camera but Pic of the Day is going to have to start with an iPhone shot until I get a card reader for the computer.

So far I have had one meal in Barcelona, and as all the shops were closed on arrival I had to settle for a crisp sandwich and a Twix.

07.15 Croissant x2 with banana
16.40 Jacket Potato with Chilli and salad
23.00 Bread filled with crisps and a Twix
Also nibbled 1x Walkers crisp, 3x Worthers Original (not sure sucking a sweet helps the ears – is it just an old wives tale?)

It tends to be harder to write a post in the evening than in the morning, so from here on food will be noted in the evening and the official post will go up the next morning.
