What Didn't Djokovic Eat Yesterday?

One Chicken Nugget was initially built entirely on the principle of collecting information about exactly what people eat for a whole year. So it might seem a little strange then to ask the question what didn’t someone eat, but after eating blades of Wimbledon grass yesterday, you have to question what the mens champion wouldn’t eat…

Wimbledon eat grass

Last week I posted a day in the life of Andy Murray, where we saw lots of pasta, cereal and fish being consumed. Novak Djokovic follows a very different diet however since he was diagnosed coeliac disease, which means he now survives on a gluten free diet.

This means that the new world number one can’t eat any food with a wheat filler, coating or thickener such as sausages, fish fingers or many sauces. The Serb also can’t devour down on a bowl of hearty energy boosting pasta or for that matter fattening pizza, pies biscuits or cakes. And to celebrate his victory yesterday he’d have to of steered well clear or beer or any grain based spirits too.

Djokovic told the Evening Standard “I have lost some weight but it has only helped me because my movement is much sharper now and I feel great physically”.

Now to complete today’s part of the one year challenge, here’s what I ate today:

07.40 Weetabix x3*
11.00 Millionaire Shortbread*
12.00 Pasta Salad*
15.00 Twix*
18.15 Crisps, Pitta and Dip*
19.50 Pork, Roast Potatoes and salad*
21.20 Bear Foot Ice Cream, Millionaire Shortbread Ice Cream, Chocolate Torte*
