iPad Food Shopping

October 23, 2011

I think this is a clever idea from Jamie Oliver. His iPad app contains a load of recipes (you have to pay for recipe ‘packs’ but you get one free), and you can find one you want and it will be like an electronic cookbook.

However, it goes further than the electronic cookbook and features things that are just not possible on the printed page, with video and search facilities. Then it goes a step further with the shopping list feature. You tell it how many people you want to cook for, then you can add the ingredients to a shopping list and cross of the ones you already have in stock.

Rather than then carting the iPad around the shops you can then email it to a smaller device or a printer. All very clever.

Eaten today:
13:35 crisps and dip followed by bread (all enjoyed whilst watching Man Utd getting battered)
15:00 Soup
19:30 Pizza and chips
