Talking Food

Today I’ve been at LEAF’s President’s Event at HSBC Tower in London. LEAF is a farming charity promoting sustainable farm practices, so there was obviously a clear farming presence about much of the talks and of course food.

One of today’s speakers was Chris Brown of Asda. He is their sustainable sourcing manager, and also a very good speaker. He pulled out some enlightening statistics on consumer attitudes toward sustainable food, to see some quotes search #LPE11 on twitter.

It was a great event, even though I had to be up before 5am to make it.

Today’s eatings:

14:30 Beef, bread, mini quiches
20:30 pizza, dough balls, brunch bar
