A London Outing

November 19, 2011

As you may have noticed this week (we’ve mentioned it a few times) both myself and Lee were in central London today. Starting at Borough Market, sampling some fine 14 year old cheese and buying some brownies, we moved on to Patisserie Valerie and sampled some world renowned cakes. As if we hadn’t eaten enough we then moved on to the Rainforest Cafe.

This was perhaps one of the highlights of the day… for Graham, Bob and John (names changed for child protection) who were celebrating their birthdays by standing on top of wobbly chairs holding ice cream while half the place sang to them. Even the plastic gorillas had their say.

The food was good, as was most of the service, but the main attraction was the walls – not something I would usually say. The walls are covered with rainforest decor, plastic plants, pretend animals (which move) and running water. If you like the odd thunderstorm during your meal, this is the place for you. Good entertainment all round.

Eaten today:
12:00 Cheese
12:45 Brownie
14:50 Almond franzipan, bit of cream
16:30 burger, chips

By the way, if you were one of the many many people taking photos of friends/relatives/random people throwing leaves in the air, you are a berk. These people even more so:
