Yum Yum Yum Yum

December 9, 2011

Tonight dinner was served in Yum Yum, the award winning Thai restaurant in Stoke Newington, as featured on Gordon Ramsay’s ‘The F Word’, Masterchef and plenty of other press across national papers and magazines alike. There’s a lot of competition in the up-and-coming trendy Church Street but Yum Yum’s covers get booked up quickly with loyal customers returning over and over and for good reason; the unique Thai resturant, situated in the quintessentially British building, offers an authentic oriental experience with the cuisine just part of the explosion of Thai culture.

Complete with statuesque Buddhas to greet you as you enter, traditional thai huts outside, lemon grass infused mojitos (£8.10) and impressive exotic Asian décor with fish swimming around our floor table you’ll feel like you’ve entered paradise.

The food was exquisite, bursting with the flavours of ginger, chilli and lemongrass to name but a few and so we decided on sharing a Yum Yum platter, beef neau pad king, squid murk pad gra-prao and a dessert ‘cheeky monkey’ to complete the meal.

If you’re stopping for an early dinner be sure to get there between 6pm-7.30pm to take full advantage of their 50% off cocktails and if you’re looking to eat out before Xmas here’s the voucher for 30% off.
